Facility Manager (USDA-inspected Poultry Processing Facility)

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Facility Manager to hire, lead, train, and inspire a 12–25-member team in our USDA-inspected poultry processing operation.

This leader ensures full compliance with all company policies (HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs) and federal/state regulations (USDA, OSHA, CT) while driving production efficiency, safety, and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop production team members to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
  • Ensure compliance with USDA, HACCP, SSOP, GMP, and OSHA standards.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (yield, efficiency, labor cost) to drive continuous improvement.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance throughput, reduce waste, and ensure consistent product quality.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain a food-safe and sanitary production environment.
  • Complete and verify all daily production reports, including staffing, yields, and department summaries.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate team members to ensure career growth and operational consistency.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork — maintaining a zero-accident environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production goals align with overall company objectives.
  • Maintain strong labor controls and oversee department budgets.

Must Have

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant technical training preferred.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills; experience leading teams of 10+ employees.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, OSHA standards, and USDA regulations.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic math/reporting tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Reliable, motivated, and professional attitude with a commitment to excellence.
  • Must be 18 years or older and able to commute to Bethlehem, CT.
