Steadfast Farms is hiring 12–25 new team members to join our growing poultry processing operation.
Team members play an essential role in preparing and processing our high-quality poultry products under USDA inspection.

Responsibilities
- Working with live poultry in a humane and respectful manner
- Assisting in slaughter, scalding, evisceration, packaging, and cold storage
- Performing basic butcher or knife work (training provided)
- Following all USDA food safety, HACCP, and company sanitation policies
- Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas
- Collaborating with a team of 10+ people in a fast-paced environment
- Communicating clearly and following the supervisor's instructions
- Working both independently and as part of a team
- Occasionally assisting with customer pickups or farm duties.
Must Have
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to safely operate and clean food processing equipment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on, and physically active production environment
- Able to stand in one position for extended periods while performing repeatable tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
- Adaptable and flexible — able to switch duties or move to new production lines or workstations as directed by management based on the needs of the operation
- Capable of lifting up to 50–75 lbs occasionally, and repeatedly handling 3–10 lb poultry items (and occasionally 10–30 lb birds) throughout the shift
- Willing to work around live and raw poultry in varying temperatures (0°F–99°F)
- Able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift safely
- Dependable, organized, and respectful of others
- Must be able to commute to Bethlehem, CT
Nice to have
- No prior poultry or manufacturing experience required — training provided.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay: $17–$20/hour, based on experience and training
- Weekly pay periods

Schedule
- Facility operates Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts
- Shifts start as early as 6:30 a.m.
- USDA inspection runs 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., followed by facility cleaning and customer pickup
- Flexible shifts available: 6-hour, 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour options
- Full-time and part-time roles available
Work Environment
- Standing and moving throughout the day
- Exposure to cold (0°F) and warm (up to 99°F) environments
- Frequent exposure to water, moisture, and cleaning agents
- Work areas may be wet and occasionally slippery — waterproof, slip-resistant boots are required
- Steadfast Farms provides all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- After your first 90 days, the company will purchase one pair of approved work boots per year for every employee
