As the Facility Manager, you are responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the facility.
You are responsible for how this operation performs every day.
You are accountable for the performance of the operation, the people on your team, the quality of the product, and the condition of the facility.
You are expected to lead the operation with ownership, make decisions with confidence, and ensure standards are met every day.
What This Role Is
This role is responsible for leading and executing all aspects of the operation.
You are expected to:
Lead the team and set the standard on the floor
Make decisions in real time
Solve problems as they arise
Ensure the operation runs efficiently and correctly
Uphold all company, safety, and regulatory standards
You are responsible for how the operation performs each day.
What You Are Responsible For
Your responsibility covers seven core areas:
People
Hire, train, and develop the team
Set expectations and enforce standards
Delegate Tasks to the team
Manage performance, accountability, and culture
Ensure the team is staffed and positioned to succeed
Production
Run daily operations from start to finish
Manage workflow, staffing, and throughput
Maintain efficiency while protecting standards
Ensure the day is executed according to plan
Product
Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation
Protect food safety at all times
Deliver a product that reflects the standards of Steadfast Farms
Facility
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized operation
Ensure sanitation standards are met
Protect and maintain equipment and workspace
Compliance (USDA, FDA & Food Safety)
Operate under USDA inspection with confidence
Ensure HACCP, SSOP, and GMP standards are followed
Address issues immediately and correctly
Maintain a facility that is always inspection-ready
Customers
Manage farmer drop-offs and pick-ups professionally
Represent Steadfast Farms on the floor
Ensure customer product is handled correctly and delivered as expected
Controllable Contribution
Align staffing and labor with daily workload and production needs
Monitor efficiency and identify opportunities to improve performance
Reduce waste and prevent avoidable loss across the operation
Maintain control over materials, inventory, and product handling
Make decisions that improve output, reduce cost, and strengthen the operation
Running the Operation Like a Business
You are expected to run this operation with a business mindset.
This means taking ownership of performance, not just activity.
Your decisions should reflect:
Efficiency
Labor utilization
Product quality
Long-term improvement
You are responsible for how the operation performs, not just how it runs.
Ownership & Accountability
You are accountable for what happens in the facility.
If something is not done correctly, you address it
